Effective date: July 1, 2026
Settle is a personal finance tracker. It is designed to keep your data on your device and under your control. This policy explains what Settle does and does not do with your information.
All of the information you enter — accounts, categories, transactions, balances, and settings — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. Settle has no user accounts and no sign-in. This data is never transmitted to us or to any server, and we never have access to it.
We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. Settle contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
If you import a CSV file, Settle reads the file you select and stores the resulting entries locally on your device. The file and its contents are not uploaded anywhere.
To keep multi-currency balances up to date, Settle may request current exchange rates from a third-party service (exchangerate-api.com). These requests send no personal or financial information — they only ask for public rate data. As with any internet request, the rate provider may see your device's IP address; this is standard for network connections and is handled under that provider's own privacy policy.
Settle is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
